UDMB ORIENTATION AUDITION DAYS
All new brass and woodwind players must audition in order to become members of the UDMB.
In an effort to make this process as painless as possible, as well as informative as possible, all new members are expected to attend ONE of our UDMB ORIENTATION AUDITON DAYS. The day is set up in the form of a workshop. Students undergo a playing audition, participate in an introductory session on our marching technique program, and attend an informational session with the UDMB Student Staff. Students depart having met 1/3 – 1/2 of their entering class as well as many of the upperclass staff members, thus allowing for an easier transition when arriving for band camp.
The schedule for the day is:
10:00 AM Check–in at the Amy E duPont Music Building
11:00 AM - 4:00 PM Auditions and workshop sessions*
*We do our best to conclude each day EARLIER than 4 PM. Pizza lunch is also provided.
