BRASS & WOODWIND SECTIONS
The UDMB fields between 220 – 240 brass and woodwind players each season.
Standard marching band instrumentation is used for these sections. They are:
- Flutes and Piccolos (Piccolo spots are by audition only during band camp.
Clarinets
Alto Saxophones
Tenor Saxophones
Trumpets
Mellophones
Baritones
Sousaphones
University–owned Tenor Saxophones, Mellophones, Baritones, and Sousaphones are provided. A limited number of Alto Saxophones, Trumpets and Trombones are also available but on a first come, first served basis.
